French olives and the oil they produce are an important part of French cuisine. The olive oils we carry are the classic marriage of extra virgin olive oil and fresh garden herbs. With their enticing aromas, taste and color, freshly-picked olives are pressed the same day - no heat or chemicals are used. It takes 11 pounds of olives to make a little more than a quart of first pressed olive oil. It is delightful on salads, cheeses, and drizzled over main dishes. Our black and green olive-based tapenades and other vegetable spreads are made in Provence by a mother-son team using family recipes. The result is a tasty collection that’s perfect for dips and on crackers, bread or toasts, but equally superb as condiments tossed with vegetables, in pasta sauces, or spread over the top of fish, poultry, or pork to create exciting new dishes.

To honor the sweet tomatoes of France, we bring you a wide range of tomato-based products made by a family that creates traditional and specialty French tomato products while also resurrecting ancient recipes. Made with sun-ripened tomatoes and all natural ingredients, they produce spicy and sweet chutneys and French favorites such as yellow and red tomato preserves. Their unique old-fashioned catsup (not ketchup) is based on a 16th century recipe.
Our chutneys are very versatile condiments and can accompany anything from warm or chilled cheeses to steamed vegetables, grilled chicken, beef, or pork. The old-fashioned catsup is a unique sweet-savory sauce that will wonderfully enhance all meat, poultry, and even fish dishes. Lastly, we offer new twists on traditional tomato preserves - not just for toast, these are wonderful over brie or cream cheese as an easy appetizer.

Both honey and preserves play an important part in history. Honey has been around for over 5000 years, valued by various civilizations as something sacred and spiritual. The making of preserves or confiture was, in fact, the first technique human beings discovered to conserve their food. The first written recipe for preserves dates back to the 1st century. Both are delicious on toast, croissants, pancakes, or waffles; over cream cheese or brie for an easy hors d'oeuvre; or as a dessert topping, over ice cream, cakes, and pies. Additionally, honey is widely used in glazes, marinades, and sauces for meats, poultry, and fish. Our offerings include 6 different French wild honeys, regional French chestnut specialties, and 18 different French fruit preserves.
